Data Processing Addendum
How Inceptica processes customer personal data when providing Nova and its connected services.
Nova — An Inceptica Product. Updated October 19, 2026.
Nova & the Scope of This Document
Nova is a product of Inceptica LLC. Inceptica LLC is the service provider and legal contracting party; “Nova”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Inceptica LLC when describing the provider’s rights and obligations. Nova Brain is the company-context intelligence foundation used across AI Code Reviews, Developer Device Security and Compliance for SOC 2 and other frameworks. It is not a separate legal entity.
Nova Cloud provides workspace-level services and team visibility. Nova Endpoint provides developer-device and local development workflows. The data processed depends on the features used, the systems connected, the permissions granted and the customer’s configuration—not simply on an application or asset appearing in a product illustration.
Expanded Processing Description — Annex 1
The subject matter includes customer-authorized company-context processing through Nova Brain for AI Code Reviews, Developer Device Security and Compliance. Processing operations include collection, organization, storage, retrieval, correlation, AI-assisted analysis, generation of findings and recommendations, authorized disclosure, export and deletion. Duration and deletion obligations remain those in Section 12 and the applicable agreement.
In addition to the categories listed in Annex 1, personal data can appear in source code and diffs, repository and review metadata, device and software inventories, security posture findings, company documents and messages, access metadata, policies and evidence. Data subjects include developers, employees, contractors, collaborators and other individuals whose data appears in authorized sources. No new permission to process unnecessary special-category data is granted.
Instructions, AI Providers & Source Permissions
Customer instructions include authorized configuration of connected sources and workflows. Nova Brain analysis and use of AI providers remain subject to the purpose limitation, confidentiality, sub-processor, international-transfer and security obligations in this DPA. Customer Personal Data must not be used for unauthorized AI training or product improvement without explicit consent. The service is not intended for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
A customer-connected application is a source system, not automatically an Inceptica sub-processor. A vendor processing data on Inceptica’s behalf is subject to the sub-processor provisions. Access to Google Drive, Slack and other company knowledge is limited by the customer’s authorization and the configured integration scopes. Workspace reporting may make relevant developer and device findings available to customer-authorized users.
